I am in possession of STCW II/2; V/1-1 (oil, chemical) Chief Officer certificates of competency, with more than 10 years of seagoing experience (12 months of sea services as Chief Officer) on Oil/Chemical Tankers. Skills: • Gaining experience with the oil major vetting process and working with worldwide stakeholders • Successfully managing a crew, applying collaborative leadership strategies and providing coaching and support to all members of the team • Effectively supervising the preparation, execution and documentation required and necessary to conduct the ship’s business • Accountable for the preparation of new buildings, newly purchased used vessels and current vessels for inspections, ensuring positive results • Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the vessel and its crew to achieve the desired commercial and operational objectives • Demonstrating familiarity with all applicable governmental regulations and company policies and ensuring strict compliance by all parties on board • Developing the ability to act effectively in critical situations, including collision avoidance in heavy weather with limited power • Extensive knowledge of oil and chemical products, COW and tank washing
