Good time of day,
I’ll be very grateful if you consider me as a candidate for AB vacant position at your company. My knowledge and desire to work at this position will allow you to consider me as one of the best specialists.
My name is Yuriy Lyashenko , I would like to briefly introduce myself:
In 2004 I entered the Academy of Municipal Building and Management (after college I enrolled immediately to the third course, where after graduation I received a degree in Architect Engineering, majoring in construction and operation of buildings and structures. In addition, while studying at the Academy, I took courses to improve welder qualification and I was assigned with the 4th grade (this is a significant achievement). After graduation I studied in the Industrial Pedagogical College, first as an Ordinary Seaman (OS), and then, after taking my practical training, as Able Seaman (AB). Currently I am the 4th year student of The Nakhimov Naval School majoring in navigation.
During my studying, I changed many jobs. I worked as a welder at a construction site and in a smithy. I assembled metal ware of different shapes and degrees of complexity (bars, doors, gates, etc.). I also worked as a welder at the S. Ordzhonikidze shipyard (performed welding works of different complexity including welding of ship hulls). After my study in Sevastopol Center of Vocational Training, I stayed to work there as a foreman, I taught a group of welder students.
In 2012 I got a job at a National Join Stock Company CHERNOMORNEFTEGAZ (it is well-known company), frankly speaking, the salary was low and ships were old there, but I needed to make my first steps from the very beginning. That’s how I started my career as a seaman .There I worked on such ships as - Floating crane (4 Point mooring), it was a project of lengthening the pipeline and connecting gas pipe drilling platforms together, the ship was moored with 4 anchors (each seaman had his anchor that he moored and looked after anchor warp tension, its direction, and so on) winches moored to the vessel by a large pontoon (so I also have a little experience as a winch-operator), then from the sea bottom well end of the pipe was lifted, with the crane it was put on the pontoon and another vessel connected another pipe called Pled (Pled is 1800 meters gas pipe welded together and tied on the top with floating pontoon). This Pled also was put on the pontoon due to the crane, then it centered to the end of pipe, then it was welded and put down to the bottom of the sea, by this way so we connected the pipeline in the sea, and drilling platforms together.
DSV- was a project of dismantling old drilling platform in the Black Sea and the project of lengthening the pipeline. I was involved in welding, mooring operations, also on this ship I was a senior seaman and was responsible for the reception and the quantity of drinking water in the tanks , I kept a lookout watch and took the helm.
AHTS –I participated on the pipeline construction works, were I was engaged in winding of anchors barge of pipe-layer (8 anchors), carried water, cement, dangerous goods such as Methanol to drilling platforms (loading, unloading, fastening cargo), also I participated in the drilling platform construction, brought on tow to the place of work a large pontoon with elements of the rig, the necessary supplies for work and necessary cargo (piles, pipes, hydraulic hammer, etc.), I kept watch on the ladder and the bridge as a lookout man, was at the ladder.
While working at the NJSC CHERNOMORNEFTEGAZ. I learned a lot, had a fantastic marine practice, and gained a great working experience.
In 2014 I started working at GO OFFSHORE, on the OSV/DSV DP-1 (4 Point mooring) vessel ,it was a project of raising the sunken platform. I worked with the Dutch company SMIT SALVAGE in Congo, Angola.
The crew was multinational - the Dutch, Asian, Indians, Angolans and Filipinos.
I was actively involved in welding, handling and cargo securing, making replacement of warp in the anchor winch, lubricated anchor warp, made the sockets change, was involved in mooring operations ,kept lookout watch, kept watch at the ladder, provided day and night visual observation of the tension and the direction of the anchor warp, and, of course, as on all my previous vessels I was involved in weaning rust, painting and cleaning the ship.
Under my last two contracts, I worked for the company DEEP SEA SUPPLY MANAGEMENT, at the new PSV DP-2, with a mixed crew of Filipinos .I participated in South Stream project, which involves a large number of vessels and two pipe-layers barge of SAIPEM OFFSHORE company, but unfortunately, the project was suspended. I performed a lot of tasks, mainly connected with loading, unloading and mounting load (pipes, refrigerated container, anchors for a barge, and so on), also I worked on a “cargo crane” Mac Gregor type, loading provisions and various heavy items on a ship and unloading waste.
I was performing welding works, mooring operations, marine pilot reception and delivery, weaning rust, painting individual elements of the ship, cement tanks cleaning, watch keeping on the bridge and the ladder as a lookout man.
Since navigation is the field I’m majoring in, on each ship I worked I went to a bridge, when I had free time, and watched navigators work, the operational processes of various navigation tools, maps proofreading, I set breakpoints on the map.
What I can say about myself is that I am very kind and sympathetic man. I am always glad to help any person in need. I am precise with each work I have to do. I am able to find common language with any person. I am even-tempered and friendly. I respect other people and work they do, regardless of nationality and religion. I am able to work efficiently, to find effective solutions and get the results from my work. I have the leadership qualities and I constantly improve my professional skills. I have a family, a wife and a son .In any work ,I am always guided with the rule "SAFETY FIRST". Safe work and people’s safety ,trust and respect to the people I work with are my priorities.
