About my self My name is Ruslan Shustov. My date of birth is the 27 of much 1989. My citizenship is Russian. I was born in settlement Orlovskiy, Rostov region. Now I live in Rostov-on-Don. I am not married but I recently with beautiful girl. I have children. I have secondary special and higher marine education. I studied at school, at Sedov maritime college and Ushakov maritime State Academy. My main occupation is a Navigator. I am a watch officer . I have been working at sea for nine years. I had eight contracts in the rank of officer. During last contract I worked on board a cargo ship . Length overall of my ship is 100m. Width is 12m. I visited many ports of different countries. Unfortunately I have no experience of work in the mixed crew. My vessel operated in the North sea, the Baltic sea, the Barencevo sea. We carried barley, wheat, sunflower sea and different general cargo. My last contract lasted six and a half months and finished on the twentieth of august this year. Now I have my holiday. During my last contract I worked in the Germany company. The name of this company is “Breeze Swallow”. It is a reliable and trustworthy company. My salary suits me but I would like to have a higher salary. I had two thousand dollars per month on my last vessel. During my last contract I worked as d Watch officer. I am responsible for preparing vessel for the voyage. I get ready the route plan and load it on the Electronic Navigational Chart. I fill up GMDSS log book and make tests of all navigational and GMDSS equipment. When the vessel is at sea I keep watch twice a day for four hours. I watch the navigation situation, the ships traffic, the radio talks and weather conditions. I keep the dead reckoning and define the ships position and navigate my vessel according to COLREG. I keep watch thoroughly and pay special attention to each trifle because human life depends on my actions. I have good experience at the sea. I perform the tasks given by my senior officer on my own. I am motivated, disciplined and self-made. I always perform my job in time and practically without any remarks on behalf of my captain. My English is not up to the mark but I every day do my best to brush it up and to improve it. I hope for the best. I am sure. I will be a success. Fortunately I did not have any incidents at sea. I am a good sailor. I am never sea – sick during the storm. I am a good mixer. I have wonderful family. I have a mother, father and elder brother. My mother is a housewife. My father and brother are builders. I am found of music. I play football. When I have free time on board I reeds books, watch TV and doing sports.
