I am a Captain (DP, Master Mariner, Class 1) with a working experience more than 32 years.
I was qualified in 1979 in Marine Academy, in Odessa , Ukraine, as an Engineer Navigator.
Before my graduation I had a qualification of Technical Navigator from Odessa Marine College.
I have been working in company BLASCO on m/v PEREKOP (general cargo vessel, built in Nikolaev, DWT 14000) from 1970. On this vessel I have gained my first experience as a Third Mate while sailing between ports of Southern Africa and Russia.
Between 1975 and 1985, I worked on m/v BELORETSK (built in Denmark, 1962, General cargo, 5 holds, 5 tweendeck, 2 upper tweendecks, 8-cranes SWL-5MT, heavy derrick- 300mt). During this period I was promoted from the Third Mate to the Ch. Mate, and, consequently, up to the Captain.
I have gained significant experience as a Captain working on various vessels PSV; (DMV(EX DSV); AHTSV; DP2, ACCOMODATION, CONSTRUCTION, PIPE, AIR DIVER, CRANE BARGE; the General Cargo, the Bulk cargo, Ro-Ro) and have an operational experience with different cargos (dangerous cargos (rocket fuel in drams), heavy Lift cargo, usual General cargos).
I also have the worldwide navigational experience, partly in difficult weather conditions (Murmansk in March, Baltic Sea, the Finnish fiords, Black Sea in winter) including operational experience with icebreaking posting and without the ice breaker.
I have experience of navigation through Bosporus and Dardanelles without the Pilot (last vessel is m/v Selecta DWT-45000mt -6 times).
I have an operational experience in ship-repair factories (dry dock)- more than 25 times
Also during my employment on some of the vessels (m/v “THALIA”, “SPECTRA”, “KOVAMBO”, “HEKTOR”,”MARSOL HANDLER”) I gained experience in such procedures as Changing the Flag, Changing the Owner with Changing all Documents of ISM, ISPS.
During the last few years I have persuaded my career in DP navigation. I have FULL DP SERTIFICATE NBR- 8476..

While working on m/v “Sunor” I have trained 8 Cadets from Odessa Marine Academy in 70 themes/topics from stability to navigation. And it was the same on the others vessels up to now.
