A few words about myself: I was born on 13 September 1988 in the city of Nikolaev, Ukraine, into the family of a workers. I was grew up on stories of my uncle, he passed through all seas and ocean, after that I decided follow his advice to become a seaman. I am married to the most wonderful woman in the world Irina, with plans to have a child in the near future.
My occupational values are, of course, first and foremost the safety of the people with whom I work, the ability to come to terms, trust and respect for each other. You will hardly ever meet a more positively minded person.
In 2005 I enrolled at Nikolayev Marine School with my examination results above average. After this training I have practice and then start my career at sea. I worked on: Dry cargo, AHTS, OTS, PSV, semi-sub. Accommodation vessel, DLV pipe-lay. During all my work as Able seaman I got a lot praiseworthy testimonials.
In 2012 I enrolled, at Kherson Marine College. In the course of training and preparation for the Navigating Officer Diploma I acquired a wide range of practical skills on seagoing ships in the positions of able seaman and quartermaster, devoted myself to daily improvement and strict discipline. And what we see now, I climbed to the next step in my career.
In 2015 I graduated from Kherson Marine College with a distinction, and got Diploma of junior specialist-navigator.
I have a good knowledge of the operations on offshore supply vessels, towing and anchor handling, drilling and construction and so on.
My immediate duties include navigational watch keeping, maintenance of safety equipment, fire and rescue equipment, emergency radio equipment, keeping ship's logbooks, port logs, training and drill logs; as GMDSS Operator I performed testing of the equipment, kept GMDSS radio logs, medical logs, garbage management logs, chronometer logs and other navigational logs. I performed correction of navigational charts and manuals, ship’s voyage planning and all related calculations, maintenance of all navigational and GMDSS bridge equipment, prepared documents for arrival and departure from port.
I can do voyage planning both type: on paper charts and with electronic ECDIS (Transas & C-MAP).
I helped with drawing up Risk Assessment Analysis. I assisted administrative work: monthly reporting, inventory, supplies and food ordering, inspection of the deck equipment and keeping documentation on its maintenance, inspection of fire-fighting and rescue equipment, keeping garbage recycling and disposal logs.
I am fluent in English, have a good command of computer and I am knowledgeable in Word, Excel, Adobe Reader, Adobe Photoshop, PowerPoint and other software.
I treat with respect and understanding the views of my colleagues. I try to smooth out the rough edges in work and communication with my superiors. I am able to quickly get my correct bearings in difficult, dangerous and unexpected situations. I keep strict watch over correct and timely keeping of the ship's documentation in accordance with the orders and instructions of the Company.
I treat seriously and with respect to all tasks set for me, by Master and Superintendents, and I am always willing to accomplish them within the shortest time. I always listen to the opinion and advises of the people around. I like to learn and gain new knowledge and skills. I possess all the required qualities for filling the vacancy of Second Mate: I am goal-oriented, punctual and diligent. I have an analytical mind and the ability to make prompt and correct decisions in a critical situation. I always stand by my words and my decisions. I am very resourceful.
My ability to inspirit and put the crew in a positive frame of mind, even in the most stressful situations, will be useful to your team.
I am very fond of reading not only technical, but also classical literature. I never wait till I report onboard to learn about new conventions or innovations, but also try to picking up all novelties on the official IMO, ABS and other websites.
I have no criminal record, no chronic diseases, no tattoos or piercings and have no bad habits. I am a peaceful, good-natured, painstaking, hardworking, diligent and goal-oriented person. I am calm and cheerful by nature. I always strive to achieve the goals I set to myself and to do my work honestly, efficiently and responsibly. I am attentive to details.
