I am a hard worker,self starter and manage my duties efficiently and safely.I am aware of my surroundings and what is needed to maintain and keep the crew and vessel safe.I have been challenged with many new hires who not all speak English.I have been understanding and fair trying to integrate the new hires for safety work culture.I am very personable and always maintains a positive attitude .Simple duties which one I must follow on board of vessel: Stand watch to look for obstructions in path of vessel, measure water depth, turn wheel on bridge, or use emergency equipment as directed by captain, mate, or pilot. Break out, rig, overhaul, and store cargo-handling gear, stationary rigging, and running gear. Perform a variety of maintenance tasks to preserve the painted surface of the ship and to maintain line and ship equipment.
