I am a student in the Seventh semester of full-time studies in Navigation at the Maritime University in Szczecin. The curriculum is in accordance with the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW 78) and its subsequent amendments. The study plan includes six semesters of theoretical classes and two semesters of sea practice. I have chosen the specialization in maritime rescue, which includes courses at the Medical Academy in Szczecin, preparing me for work at sea and in organizational units related to navigation, with a particular focus on the Maritime Search and Rescue Service, the Polish Maritime Rescue Service, as well as inspectors of inland navigation and regional waterway directorates
