My name is Daniil Drozd. I am the second-year student of the Admiral
Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping. I am undergoing
the course of Navigation at this university. I am interested in participating in
practice selection owing to my desire to broaden my horizons and become more.
experienced. I was born in Novorossiysk and finished school there. I performed well in both
school, taking part in technological events, organisation of master classes and
other various events , take part in school Olympiads in mathematics, physics,
chemistry and history. I did my best to nail the victory.
After finishing school and passing my exams, I decided to challenge myself by
moving to different city. I have chosen Admiral Makarov State University of
Maritime and Inland Shipping in Saint-Petersburg, because I wanted to be a
seaman and this university gives the best maritime knowledge and opportunities
for seamen in Russia. The reason for choosing this profession is that the I was
born and raised near the sea, more than one generation of sailors grew up in
my city, I have many familiar Navigators who talked about this profession and
then I realised that my fate was to become one of them.
While my studying in the University, I perform well, because this university
gives opportunities to excellent students such as practice selection and realising
your talents such as leadership, command, singing and various creativity
Also, I didn’t have seagoing practice. I had study practice after first year of
study on University base. There we studied basic skills of navigation,
ColReg-72, IALA, SOLAS, MARPOL and sailing
In conclusion I would like to say that the main reason why I feel like working
in one of the companies you cooperate with is that it is excellent career
development. I would be proud of working for a company with such a good
reputation. Behind this, working at sea is a great way to become stronger not
only physically, but mentally as well. I am sure that it is the best job for me
because it requires hard work and huge attention to the duties. I'm strong and I
enjoy doing practical and physically active work. As a person I am flexible and I
