I began my sea career working as an OS/cadet on a PSV vessel, where I kept navigational watch as a cadet with officers and was occasionally used on deck as an OS when extra hands are needed on deck. There I learned about DP system and on several occasions put the vessel on DP under supervision. Afterward, I worked on an LNG carrier as a cadet where I kept navigational watch with officers and occasionally kept sole lookout during voyages. During my time on the LNG carrier, I was able to understudy the officers during cargo loading and unloading operations, taking full responsibility for ballasting during the operation. I have worked on board with Russians, Indians, Egyptians, Malaysians, and also with Nigerians from different tribes.
