Navigation experience: I worked with the following ECDISes: NaviSailor 4000, Maris ECDIS900, JRC 901B. Navigation equipment: JRC, Furuno, SAM Electronics. However using basic algorithm and manufacture’ manual I’m able to work with any equipment. Concerning ship’ maneuvering skills: I have experience in Ice Navigation (including poor visibility which very often in Canadian waters) in the North part of the Atlantic Ocean, Baltic and North Seas. Also I have navigation experience in narrow waters (taking into consideration size of my vessels we very often used rivers and fairways for navigation). Safety and Security experience: as per previous company’ policy (European Product Carriers) deck officers should rotate every two month in their duties. There for being Navigation officers I kept my proficiency level concerning Safety and Security procedures. Concerning Security: I work at many HRA’s (Gulfs of Aden and Guinea) and ready to continue to work there. Cargo Handling experience: I have great experience with cargo handling procedures (including Tank Washing procedures and a lot of STS operations), especially during work under ARAMCO charter in Red Sea and Persian Gulf on m/t Elka Cosmos (up to 17 cargo operations per month) and m/t Elka Delphi. Due to the very hard schedule of work, the chief officer very often delegated his duties to me. Being on all vessels I tried to make good use of my time adopting practical experience from the Chief Officer. IT and Technical experience: I have a high level of computer skills. I know very good Windows, Linux, MS-DOS and can fix some problems which regularly happened with vessel’ equipment. Also I know at sufficient level Visual Basic that let me to use macros for creating useful calculating programs in MS Excel to make my job effective. Also I understand elementary electrical circuits. I have experience when I fixed navigation equipment’ problems using soldering iron.
