Dear Sir, My name is Okeke Oliver Chibuike. I am a Marine Engineer, 52 years of age, from Abia state of Nigeria. I studied Marine Engineering from Maritime Academy of Nigeria, Oron [1990 to 1992]; And further, Management Level, studies at South Tyneside College, Tyne and Wear, United Kingdom [2012 to 2020]. At present, I hold a UK Second Engineer (Unlimited, STCW Reg. III/2) Certificate of Competency. I have over 20 years sea service experience which I obtained working mainly on Oil Tankers up to the position of Chief Engineer. I have also served on offshore vessels like PSV (DP2), AHTS, Oil Barge, etc. I will also like to work on other types of Ship like Container Ship, Bulk Carrier, Crude Oil Carrier, etc. The ships I served and the length of time I worked can be seen in my Curriculum Vitae and my Seaman’s Discharge Book. I will be grateful if you will employ me in one of your Ships as a Chief Engineer, Second Engineer or any suitable shore position (Superintendent, Port Engineer, etc.).
