My name is George Wayne Mwangi Maina, and I am a Marine Engineer from Nairobi, Kenya. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering with 1st Class Honors and a GPA of 3.57/4.0 from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. I am seeking engine cadet opportunities to start a career as a marine engineer. This is so that I gain the seagoing service necessary for an engineering officer to obtain a Certificate of Competency and Officer in Charge of Engineering Watch certificates among others. I am holistically minded with a methodical approach to working and an eagerness to learn and develop personal skills in a practical setting. My goal is to become and fully-qualified and experienced marine engineer with the longer-term aspiration of moving into technical management and ship-building. I am also a team player, good at time management, very goal oriented and able to produce results on time without sacrificing quality or quantity.
