To whomever it may concern, I am Guillem Roma Blanch, student of the Barcelona School of Nautical Studies currently coursing the senior year of Nautical Science and Maritime Transport bachelor at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, in Barcelona, Spain. Besides studying the Nautical Science degree, I volunteer in an organization, the Excursionist Union of Catalonia, where we offer to children the chance to go deep into the mountains and learn values while experiencing the best nature has to offer. Being a part of this project has turned me into a decisive, persistent and autonomous person who can also work as part of a team. I have served in the sea as a deckhand for two years, four months of which as a deck cadet, and therefore I still have eight months of sea service left before being eligible to obtain the 2nd Class Pilot of the Merchant Marine license. Hence, I am reaching you with the aim of finding an embarking opportunity as a student with a duration of four to eight months. Being part of such embarkation would be a great opportinity for my career, as it would not only give me the chance to work on what I am most passionate about, but also reaffirm my working discipline in a professional environment.
