Oil and Chemical tanker experience will be an added advantage.
Job Purpose and Objective:
The Technical Superintendent will be based in Baku, Azerbaijan, and will be required to provide day to day technical support to the
Caspian office, being responsible for the Technical Management duties Tanker vessels.
This position will require cooperating with the internal HSE, Purchase, Finance Marine and the vessel’s senior marine officers in order
to ensure the vessels operate at optimum efficiency with safety being the primary concern.
Additionally, interaction with client technical authorities will be required.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
• Provide onshore technical support in the day to day operations of the vessel.
• Monitor and manage the vessel’s PMS ensuring all tasks are completed in an efficient and timely manner.
• Monitor and manage the vessels purchasing with respect to appropriately balancing actual requirements and budgetary restraints.
• Arrange, negotiate with and monitor shoreside contractors as required by the vessel during scheduled port calls.
• Assist to plan and implement vessel modifications as agreed with the charterer.
• Liaise with Flag and class to ensure statutory and classification requirements and surveys are maintained.
