My name is Serhii. My Surname is Chaban. I’m from Ukraine. I Live in Odessa on the street Central 24. I was born in Odessa maternity hospital. I was born on the thirty of January 1996. I’m 22 years old. No I’m not married (I’m single). I’m a sailor. I am Electromechanical Engineer but I worked as Electrical Cadet to gain experience in the position. I have secondary technical education and now I get a higher education in National University Odessa Maritime Academy. I finished 130 school in 2011 and then graduated from Maritime College of Technical Fleet in 2015 year. In the future I'm going to get higher education in National University Odessa Maritime Academy. I know Russian Ukrainian English language. I have not worked at sea but I have had experience in the work of assistant electrician aboard a tugboat in the port. I also worked as a motor mechanic 2nd class on an oil tanker in the port. I have not work in a mixed crew but I wont it. I’m expecting to have salary 1000$ (Cadet) per month or 1000-2000$ (El. Eng. Assistant) per month. My duties included: 1 electrical engineering assistance. 2 knowledge of the actions of all Electrical equipment. 3-watch maintance, electrical maintance, testing electric machines for defects and carrying, help in capital reoair of of D.C. , Syncronous, induction (asyncronous) motors, transforners. I’m familiar with following life saving equipment : 1 Lifeboats and rescue boat 4 Lifejackets 2 Liferafts 5 Breathing apparatus and first aid boxes 3 Immersion suit and thermal On board of the ship is following fire fighting equipment: 1 ship's fire alarm system, 2 fire extinguishers, 3 fire hoses, 4 boxes with sand, 5 buckets, 6 fire hooks, 7 shovels, 8 axes and crowbars. Types of Extinguisher: Foam fire extinguishers, dry chemical fire extinguishers, CO2 fire extinguishers. Types of Fire: 1 When wood, cloth, paper, rubber or plastic is on fire – it is Type A fire.To extinguish this type of fire we must use dry chemical fire extinguishers. 2 When flammable liquids or gas is on fire – it is type B fire. To extinguish this type of fire we must use foam fire extinguishers. 3 When electrical equipment or appliances in on fire – it is type C fire. My muster station was on the main deck.
