Lomvia Skipsdrift AS is Norwegian shipowner company seeking an experienced chief engineer for MT
Isfjord IMO 9190200 (Holland built, 2500 KW Wärtsilä and Volvo Penta Aux, Norwegian Flag, B. V Class and Ice class). The position is in a rotation for operations in Svalbard/Barents Sea along with the Norwegian coastline.
The Chief Engineer is the head of the engine department and is responsible to the company for the
administration, supervision, safe and economical operation of the engine department. He is responsible for the effective management of technical and associated resources on board and the maintenance of those resources. Responsible for the effective operation of the main and auxiliary engines and of all
machinery and equipment necessary for cargo handling and mooring, so that the ship operates in a safe, efficient, and effective way.
Qualifications
Verbal and oral English skills.
Possession of all certificates applicable by the STCW and by the Flag Administration (e. g.
Advanced management level Oil Tanker certificate).
Competence in administration and use of planned maintenance systems (K-fleet from
Kongsberg) and planning for drydock.
